A devastating road accident involving a lorry and a matatu along the Nyeri–Nyahururu Highway has claimed the lives of 15 people who died on the spot near Dedan Kimathi University.
According to reports, the lorry swerved to avoid hitting two girls who were cycling along the highway, leading to a collision with a matatu. The impact resulted in the immediate death of 15 individuals at the scene.
Emergency response teams arrived at the location shortly after the incident. The bodies of the deceased were retrieved and transported to a nearby mortuary.
