Digital influencer and political aspirant Mercy Masai has unveiled a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, signaling a major logistical upgrade as she prepares a campaign for the Kajiado County Woman Representative seat ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

The vehicle’s unveiling drew immediate reaction across social media platforms, with supporters noting that an all-terrain SUV is essential for navigating Kajiado’s expansive rural terrain and constituent networks. However, the purchase also reignited online debate regarding her source of income, reviving persistent claims linking her lifestyle to Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi.

Masai has repeatedly refuted claims of a romantic or financial connection to the Kapseret lawmaker. Addressing the rumors, she maintained that her personal lifestyle, business operations, and political mobilization are entirely self-funded through her work as a practicing psychologist, farmer, and founder of the Mercy Masai Mission outreach foundation.

She also dismissed past online reports alleging she was confronted or physically assaulted by Sudi’s wives, characterizing the claims as complete fabrications. Masai previously clarified her stance on relationships, stating publicly that she would not date a polygamous man and emphasizing that she does not rely on political figures for financial backing.

The vehicle acquisition comes as Masai increases her ground presence across Kajiado County, positioning her platform around community health initiatives, education access, and youth empowerment. While online critics continue to question her transition from digital content creation to elective politics, her campaign team views the acquisition as a practical necessity for reaching distant polling zones across the region.
