Content creator Flapa wa Nyahururu has a message for young men still afraid to date older women—stop hesitating, because life on the other side is sweet.
The influencer, who has been open about his relationship with an older woman he affectionately calls his “mumamaz” (wafirethi), says he used to fear dating older women. But ever since he took the leap, he’s been the happiest man on earth.

Today, Flapa drives a Range Rover, stays in a leafy Nairobi suburb, eats what he calls “chakula ya kitajiri,” and rocks designer fits. He credits his peace of mind—and his upgraded lifestyle—to the woman by his side.
“Mimi na Wangu we are perfect,” he said. “Sioni shida ata kidogo.”
Flapa didn’t stop there. He pointed to the growing trend of young men choosing older partners, citing Guardian Angel and Esther Musila as a prime example. The couple recently marked eight years of marriage—while, as Flapa noted, some people married to age-mates don’t even last a few months.
