A nightclub attendant at Estate Nightclub in Kihunguro is alleged to have fatally stabbed a man over a Ksh 10 debt in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Tabitha Nganga, who works as an attendant at the establishment, reportedly picked up an empty mzinga bottle, broke it, and used the jagged piece to stab a man on the right side of his neck—killing him on the spot.
Witnesses at the scene told reporters that the deceased approached Nganga demanding payment of a Ksh 10 debt he allegedly owed her. What began as a conversation quickly escalated into a heated argument.
The situation turned deadly when Nganga allegedly armed herself with the broken bottle and struck the man. He collapsed immediately and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities arrived at the location following the incident. Nganga was reportedly taken into custody in connection with the killing.
The incident has sparked conversation locally, with residents of Kihunguro expressing shock that a dispute over such a small amount of money could result in loss of life.
