Content creator Belle (i.__am._belle) has publicly disclosed surviving child sexual abuse at the age of nine, using her personal history to condemn online commentators attempting to downplay or monetize recent grooming allegations involving her ex-partner, digital personality MLUO (Mluo_254).
Belle’s statements follow intense online debate over alleged interactions between MLUO and high school students. In a series of public updates, she addressed social media users treating the allegations as viral banter, warning that exploiting minor vulnerability destroys long-term psychological wellbeing.

“The first time I was exposed to sex, I was 9 years old,” Belle disclosed. “Experienced SA and CSA in the same timeline. It’s not funny. That leaves you with no self-respect, and you spend your entire life trying to figure it out.”

Alongside her personal statement, Belle published a screenshot of a December 2024 message exchange in which an underage student expressed fear and confusion, writing that she did not know how to travel on her own. Belle noted that when a minor explicitly states an inability to navigate situations independently, adults should recognize clear vulnerability rather than exploit it.
Addressing public calls for formal legal action, Belle confirmed that she previously took the claims to law enforcement officials, but faced immediate evidentiary roadblocks. According to her account, investigators stated the material presented did not meet the legal threshold required for formal prosecution, as crucial conversations reportedly occurred via unrecorded voice calls rather than written text logs.
“I went to officials as well. It wasn’t incriminating enough,” Belle explained. “There needed to be age evidence because I couldn’t get enough evidence to show that that was grooming, because she was in high school. I needed to get texts of him flirting… he did all that on call.”
She further directed criticism at fellow content creators and online figures attempting to draft comedy skits or protect peers amidst the controversy. She warned that trivializing grooming allegations to shield personal friendships or farm digital engagement enables predatory behavior across creator networks.
The situation highlights persistent legal challenges within Kenya’s judicial framework regarding digital grooming. Law enforcement agencies face strict statutory requirements demanding verifiable age documentation, explicit digital transcripts, and clear forensic evidence before initiating formal charges in cases involving minors.
